Group Coaching and Training

We have found that athletes tend to thrive in group settings and that is our intention. We have developed a year long group training program suited for the multisport athlete competing in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. All athletes will have access to an on-line training program via trainingpeaks.com, our BPC training forum, discounts by our sponsors, pace charts, and calculators.
Our Base training phase is eight weeks in duration and is designed to improve overall endurance, strength, and efficiency. This is an ideal training option for both long course and short course athletes in preparation for the 2010 season. Workouts include easy/long distance training, strength in all 3 sports, and learning about quick form training. In addition, athletes will have the option of registering for swim, bike, run, and/or strength training group coaching. Base training begins October 19 through December 10.
Building Power, intervals, and overall endurance are the focus during our 10-week Build training program. Workouts will include hill repeats for run and bike training, tempo training in all 3 sports, and begin with the early stages of anaerobic threshold development for cycling time trialing. In addition to early season duathletes, this is an ideal training option for both long and short course multisport athletes looking to start the 2010 season in mid season form. Athletes will have the option of registering for swim, bike, and/or run group coaching. Build training starts January 4 and continues through March 12.
Our 12-week Pre Season training is focused on developing speed with endurance. The intensity of workouts increases while the volume decreases. Race preparation workouts include triathlon simulations such as brick training and tune up races. Pre Season training begins March 22 through June 11. Athletes will have the option of registering for swim, bike, run, and/or brick group coaching. This is an ideal training option for long course athletes preparing for Rev3 and Mooseman Half, and Eagleman 70.3 as well as short course in preparation for Rev3 and Mooseman International, Hyannis, Cohasset, and the New England Season Opener.

Peaking and refining strengths are the focus during our Race Prep training program. Workouts include race simulations, nutrition planning and working on recovery training. This is an ideal training option for long course athletes preparing for IM Lake Placid, IM Wisconsin, IM Louisville, Providence 70.3, and Timberman 70.3 and Short course athletes getting ready for late season races Timberman Sprint, Gloucester, Marlborough, and Duxbury are encouraged to participate.
All training programs are designed by USA Triathlon certified coaches.
